• TCU played in its fourth extra-inning game of the season. It fell to 1-3 in those contests.
• The Frogs are 23-13 all-time in extra-innings under head coach Jim Schlossnagle.
• Andrew Mitchell made his first start of the season. He last started a game on June 2, 2012 against Dayton in the NCAA Regional.
• Jerrick Suiter pushed his hitting streak to four games with a base hit in the second.
• Paul Hendrix tallied his third multi-hit game of the season. He had a career high three hits in the game.
• Kevin Cron stretched his hitting streak to 11 games with a base hit in the seventh.
