
Men's Golf Continues Play in Hawaii

KONA, Hawaii—TCU continued play with Round 2 of the Amer Ari Invitational on Thursday at Waikoloa Kings' Club. The Horned Frogs will enter Friday's final round in a tie for sixth place in the team standings.
TCU, which entered the day with a portion of both the team and individual leads, lost ground in Round 2, firing a 3-over-par 291 to drop into a tie for sixth place alongside fellow Big 12 squad Oklahoma State at -8 overall. Washington soared up the team leaderboard to grab top position at -21 overall, while UCLA (-19), Texas (-14), USC (14) and Georgia Tech (-10) also jumped past the Frogs. Each team in front of TCU on the leaderboard ranks among the nation's top-10 teams. The Frogs entered the weekend No. 16 in the Golfweek/Sagarin national ratings.
Freshman Paul Barjon posted the top individual round for a Frog on Thursday, carding a 2-under 70 to climb into a share of 30th place alongside senior Pontus Gad at -1 overall. Gad fired an even-par 72 in Round 2.
Senior Daniel Jennevret, who owned the individual lead after Round 1, continues to pace the Frogs in overall scoring after posting a 2-over 74 Thursday. He is tied for 16th place at -3 overall, four strokes off the lead set by Cody Gribble (Texas) and Pontus Widegren (UCLA), who sit at -7.
Fellow TCU senior Eli Cole tumbled down the leaderboard after entering the day tied for second place. He recorded a 4-over 76 to fall into a share of 41st at even par. Sophomore Julien Brun is tied for 55th at +2 following a 3-over 75 in Round 2.
Also competing for the Frogs as an individual is sophomore Sarosh Adi, who is tied for 86th place at +5 overall following a Thursday 74.
TCU wraps up competition at the Amer Ari Invitational on Friday with a 7:30 a.m. local time shotgun start at Waikoloa Kings' Club.
