Game Notes:
• TCU was shut out in its season opener for the first time since Feb. 19, 1982 when it lost 3-0 to St. Edward's.
• The Frogs fall to 6-4 in season-openers under head coach Jim Schlossnagle.
• Alex Young made his collegiate debut in the seventh inning.
• Cody Jones, Dylan Fitzgerald and Kyle Bacak made their TCU debuts. All three started the contest.
• Kevin Daniels pinch hit in the ninth inning to make his first appearance in a Horned Frog uniform.
• Brett Johnson saw action in the outfield for the first time in his career. Johnson was the starting left fielder for the Frogs.
• Cody Jones doubled in his first career at-bat at TCU.
• Jerrick Suiter entered the season with a 10-game hitting streak. He saw that snapped with a 0-for-3 day at the plate.
