Team Notes
*The Bears' win evened the all-time series between TCU and Baylor at 51-51-7.
*The Horned Frogs' loss snapped an eight-game winning streak in contests following an open date.
*TCU scored in its 267th consecutive game, the third-longest current streak in the nation and tied for seventh best in NCAA history.
*TCU outgained Baylor 410-370, holding the Bears to their lowest offensive output of the season.
*TCU's team captains were Sam Carter, Jon Koontz, Casey Pachall and Jason Verrett.
*TCU wore a black jersey with black pants and a purple chrome helmet.
Individual Notes
*Casey Pachall's two touchdown passes gave him 42 in his career, breaking a tie with Sammy Baugh (40, 1934-36) for sole possession of third place on TCU's all-time chart. Pachall broke the deadlock with a 16-yard third-quarter touchdown pass to Josh Doctson before adding a 22-yard scoring toss to David Porter.
*Pachall's 4-yard third-quarter scoring run was his first rushing touchdown since the 2011 season and the fifth of his career.
*Trevone Boykin had a 21-yard touchdown pass to LaDarius Brown on the first play after a 41-yard punt return by Cameron Echols-Luper. Boykin's touchdown toss was his seventh of the year and 22nd of his career.
*For the second straight game, Boykin's lone pass of the contest went for a score. He had a 1-yard scoring toss at Kansas State.
*B.J. Catalon set a career high with 93 yards rushing on just 11 carries. His previous best was 91 yards earlier this season against Kansas.
*Catalon's 26- and 47-yard carries on the opening drive marked his two-longest runs of the season.
*Brandon Carter had a season-long 37-yard kickoff return.
*Jordan Moore had a 1-yard second-quarter scoring run for his first career touchdown.
*Sam Carter posted his team-best fifth interception of the season and the ninth of his career.
*Paul Dawson totaled a game-high 15 tackles, marking his fifth double-digit tackle performance this season. He finished with a team-best 91 tackles on the year, the most by a Horned Frog since Tanner Brock had 106 in 2010.
*Marcus Mallet set a career high with 12 tackles, surpassing his previous high of 10 against SMU this season.
*Chris Hackett totaled a career-best 12 tackles, surpassing his previous high of 11 stops that he set on four different occasions.
*Jon Koontz recorded his career-high fourth sack of the season. He had three tackles for loss among his six stops in the game.
*Terrell Lathan posted his team-best fifth sack of the season.
*Jon Lewis had a sack to increase his total to 4 1/2 this season. He recorded two tackles for loss to finish with a team-high 11 on the year.
*Jason Verrett recorded two pass breakups for 14 on the season and 34 in his career.
*Jaden Oberkom had a 26-yard field goal to make him 14-of-18 on the season. It capped a seven-play, 66-yard drive that was highlighted by 26 and 47-yard carries by Catalon.
*Oberkrom's five extra-points made him perfect on 79 career attempts, tying the TCU record for consecutive PATs (Michael Reeder, 1994-97).
*Ethan Perry had a season-long 57-yard punt that was downed at the Baylor 4-yard line.
