FORT WORTH, Texas - Football's B.J. Catalon and volleyball's Alexia Heist the scholar-athletes of the month, TCU Athletics announced today.
A sophomore tailback, Catalon leads the Horned Frogs with 222 yards rushing and four touchdowns this season. He posted a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in TCU's season opener against LSU - one of his four touchdowns through five games to date. A native of Houston, Texas Catalon is majoring in arts and sciences.
Catalon and the Horned Frogs host Kansas on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 11 a.m. at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
A sophomore setter, Heist leads the Horned Frogs with 378 assists on the season for a 5.91 assists per set average. A native of El Paso, Texas, Heist is majoring in business and entrepreneurship and hopes to open her own business or work in the golf industry after graduation.
Heist and the Horned Frogs host Texas Tech on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 5 p.m. in the TCU Recreation Center.
