FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU football team, set to make its Big 12 debut this fall, reports to campus Sunday for the start of its preseason camp.
Sunday's itineray begins at 8 a.m. with a team picture and other photos. The Horned Frogs will then have an NCAA Compliance meeting, before head coach Gary Patterson and select players participate in a media luncheon/news conference. The afternoon schedule includes physicals, equipment disbursement and team meetings.
TCU will hit the practice field for the first time Monday at 4 p.m. Classes at TCU begin Aug. 20.
The Horned Frogs open the 2012 campaign with a Sept. 8 home game versus Grambling State. It will mark the first contest in TCU's Amon G. Carter Stadium after its $164 million renovation. With a victory, Patterson would become the Horned Frogs' all-time winningest coach. His 109 victories are currently tied for the top spot with Dutch Meyer.
TCU returns 11 starters from last year's 11-2 squad.
TCU is one of just seven schools to appear in a BCS game in two of the last three seasons.
