Game Notes:
TCU falls to 6-3 in NCAA Tournament openers under head coach Jim Schlossnagle.
Justin Scharf made his 34th appearance in a game this season, setting a new school record. The old record was held by Jeff Baker who made 33 appearances in 1994.
Preston Morrison's fifth inning walk was his first in 21 1/3 innings dating back to May 11 at Air Force.
Morrison surpassed 100 innings pitched, making him the first pitcher since 2010 to total 100 innings pitched in a season. He has now tossed 105 innings this season.
Jerrick Suiter extended his hitting streak to four games.
With Kevin Cron's fourth inning home run, the Frogs have now connected for a long ball in four straight games.
The two runs allowed by Brandon Finnegan were the first he allowed as a reliever this season. He had pitched 14 scoreless innings as a reliever.
