Game Notes:
Jantzen Witte extended his hitting streak to four games with a first inning single.
Witte has tallied at least two hits in all four games.
TCU allowed eight two-out runs in the contest.
Josh Elander led off for the first time in his career.
Nick Frey notched his first pick off of the season.
Prior to giving up runs in the seventh inning, Justin Scharf hadn't allowed an earned run in his last 15 innings pitched.
TCU was shut out for the second time this season, the first time since the Frogs were shut out twice in 2007 (5-0 vs. BYU 4-19-07 and 3-0 vs. Baylor 5-1-07).
TCU gave up a season-high 20 hits in the loss.
