ABOUT THE GAME
*TCU looks to become bowl eligible when it travels to Morgantown to face No. 21 West Virginia in a meeting of the Big 12's newest members.
*The Horned Frogs, 2-1 on the road in Big 12 play this season, are 20-3 in their last 23 overall road dates.
*As TCU's head coach, Gary Patterson is 12-8 against ranked teams.
*TCU is playing in the eastern time zone for the first time since a 14-10 victory at Clemson on Sept. 26, 2009.
*The Frogs will be leaving the state of Texas for the third and final time this regular season. Nine of TCU's 12 regular-season games are in Texas.
*TCU is playing consecutive games on the road for the first time this season. The Frogs' opening eight contests were alternating weeks of home and road dates.
*TCU is 22-7 in regular-season games following a loss under Patterson.
*TCU is making its first appearance on FOX since the 2010 Fiesta Bowl.
*Since 2005, TCU has the nation's best record (68-3, .958) when ahead or even in turnover margin. The Frogs have 14 takeaways in their last three road games.
SERIES NOTES
*TCU and West Virginia are facing each other for just the second time in their history.
*The Frogs and Mountaineers first met in the 1984 Bluebonnet Bowl in Houston with West Virginia taking a 31-14 decision on New Year's Eve in the Astrodome.
*TCU tight ends coach and special teams coordinator Dan Sharp had three receptions for 29 yards and a touchdown for the Frogs against West Virginia in the bowl game.

*West Virginia head coach Dana Holgorsen was TCU wide receivers coach Trey Haverty's position coach when Haverty was a standout receiver at Texas Tech (2001-04).

*TCU is tied with Texas for having played the most true freshmen (16) in the nation this season.
*TCU has played more true freshmen (16) than it has scholarship seniors (11).
*The Frogs are tied with LSU and North Carolina for the national lead in most combined true and redshirt freshmen (28) playing this season.
*Nearly 70 percent of players who have seen action for TCU this season are freshmen or sophomores.

*Redshirt freshman Trevone Boykin became the first quarterback in TCU history to throw for four touchdowns in back-to-back games when he accomplished the feat against Baylor and Texas Tech.
*True freshman tailback B.J. Catalon tops TCU in rushing with 362 yards.
*Redshirt freshman wide receiver LaDarius Brown has a touchdown catch in five of the last six games.
*Josh Boyce tops TCU with 44 receptions and is the Frogs' career leader in receiving touchdowns with 20.
*Cornerback Jason Verrett tops the Big 12 in passes defended (15, 1.88 per game) while tying for the interception lead with four.
*True freshman punter Ethan Perry's 47.2 average, which tops the Big 12 and ranks sixth nationally, is on pace to break the TCU single-season record of 46.1.
*True freshman placekicker Jaden Oberkrom set TCU and Big 12 records and was one shy of an NCAA mark with six field goals against Texas Tech.
