Lee, Fields TCU Athletes of the Week

FORT WORTH - Freshman rifle team member Megan Lee and freshman football player Devonte Fields are TCU's Athletes of the Week for their outstanding performances this past weekend.Lee set two personal bests in her collegiate debut at the Ole Miss Invitational. She placed second in smallbore with a score of 586 and fired a 588 in air rifle, which placed her fourth overall.
Fields, a true freshman defensive end, had a big game last weekend at SMU. Fields' 2 ½ sacks were the most by a freshman and tied for eighth overall under head coach Gary Patterson. Fields also had four tackles for loss, which tied for the fifth-best total in the Patterson era.
Rifle returns to the range on Saturday at The Citadel and football hosts Iowa State Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
