FORT WORTH—TCU men's and women's basketball season tickets went on sale Monday for the upcoming 2011-12 season. Frog men's basketball fans who would like to guarantee seats for TCU's 2012-13 move to the BIG EAST Conference must be a season ticket holder this season, while Frog women's fans who purchase packages will lock in their price for next year.
All men's and women's season ticket prices from a year ago remain unchanged. Renewal orders for packages will be taken until Oct. 24, and fans are encouraged to renew their ticket packages well in advance of that date in order to secure their preferred seats.
Single-game tickets for all games will go on sale to the general public on Nov. 1.
The TCU men's team, led by fourth-year head coach Jim Christian, will play host to 16 games at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum this season, including nine non-conference contests. Headlining the early slate will be visits from Texas Tech (Dec. 6), Nebraska (Dec. 10), Tulsa (Dec. 31) and Rice (Jan. 4), while 2011 NCAA Tournament qualifiers San Diego State (Feb. 4) and UNLV (Feb. 14) will travel to Fort Worth during TCU's seven-game Mountain West home schedule. The Frogs open the season at the DMC Nov. 11 vs. Florida Gulf Coast.
Adult reserved season tickets for men's basketball are available for purchase for $160, while youth reserved season tickets will be $80. TCU faculty/staff reserved season tickets will be $50. Fans will also have an opportunity to purchase The Frog Plan for a price of $300, which includes a minimum of four tickets behind the baskets above Row 20 for each home game.
As a reminder, only those fans who purchase men's basketball season ticket packages this season will guarantee their seats during TCU's first season in BIG EAST play in 2012-13.
The TCU women's team, which is coming off its 11th-straight postseason appearance and has gone to nine NCAA Tournaments in 11 years, will play host to 16 games at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum this season. Highlighting the Frogs' 2011-12 home slate is a group of nine non-conference home games, including a pair of showcase contests against NC State (Nov. 20) and defending National Champion Texas A&M (Dec. 11). TCU, who will host a seven-game Mountain West home schedule, opens the season at the DMC on Nov. 14 versus UTSA.
Reserved season tickets for women's basketball are available for purchase for $100 while TCU faculty/staff reserved will be $50. Reserved seats for Frog women's basketball are rows 1-12. Fans will also have an opportunity to purchase The Frog Plan for a price of $200, which includes a minimum of four tickets for each home game.
