Team Notes
*Today marked TCU's first home game amidst the $143 million renovation of Amon G. Carter Stadium. The renovation will be fully completed in time for the 2012 season.
*TCU extended its school record home winning streak to 21 games, tying Utah (2007-10) for the Mountain West mark. The Horned Frogs snapped the Utes' streak with a 47-7 win in Salt Lake City last season.
*TCU's current streak of 21 straight home wins ranks third nationally behind only Oklahoma (37) and Boise State (32). The Sooners' last home loss was a 17-10 defeat to TCU in 2005.
*TCU scored a touchdown on its opening series for the third straight game.
*TCU won for the 41st straight time when rushing (207) for more yards than passing (204).
*The Horned Frogs won for the 54th time in their last 57 games when leading in time of possession (30:19 to 29:41).
*The Horned Frogs improved to 35-1 in day games and 61-4 in Saturday contests since 2005.
*TCU has scored at least 35 points in its opening three games of a season for the first time since 2004.
Individual Notes
*TCU's Gary Patterson earned his 100th career victory as the Horned Frogs' head coach. Patterson is 100-29 in 11 seasons. He needs 10 more wins to surpass Dutch Meyer (109-79-13, 1934-52) as TCU's all-time winningest coach. Meyer coached TCU to its 1935 and 1938 national championships.
*Patterson is one of just nine active head coaches to have won 100 games at their current school.
*Josh Boyce had his third career 100-yard receiving game with seven catches for a career-best 134 yards, including a 68-yard touchdown. Boyce's previous career-high was 127 yards on eight catches last year versus BYU.
*Senior linebacker Kris Gardner made his first collegiate start.
*Casey Pachall completed a career-long 68-yard touchdown pass to Boyce for TCU's first points. It was also the Horned Frogs' longest play from scrimmage this season.
*Pachall completed 15-of-23 passes for 204 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions.
*Greg McCoy's 94-yard kickoff return for a touchdown on the opening kickoff of the second half was his second career kick return for a score. His 81-yard touchdown at Wyoming in 2009 was TCU's previous kickoff return for a score. The 94-yard effort was the third-longest kickoff return during Gary Patterson's head coaching tenure.
*McCoy had TCU's first kickoff return for a touchdown on the opening kick of the second half since Cory Rodgers at SMU in 2005.
*Ross Evans' 28-yard field goal with 27 seconds left in the game gave him 325 points in his career, breaking LaDainian Tomlinson's TCU record of 324 points (1997-00).
*Evans recorded his fifth touchback of the season on the opening kickoff.
*Matthew Tucker's rushing touchdowns of 5 and 1 yards give him a rushing score in all three games this season. His 20 career rushing touchdowns top all active Horned Frogs and move him into a tie for eighth all-time at TCU.
*Aundre Dean recorded career highs in both rushing yards (67) and carries (11).
*Antoine Hicks' 2-yard second-quarter touchdown run was his first rushing score of the season and sixth of his career. It was also his first carry of the season.
*Stansly Maponga forced a fumble for the third straight game while recording a team-high 1 1/2 sacks.
*Tekerrein Cuba had a team-high nine tackles for the second time this season. He also had nine stops at Baylor.
