
Four Frog Golfers Named All-America Scholars

FORT WORTH—Four TCU men's golfers were named Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars Wednesday. Eli Cole, Johan de Beer, Tom Hoge and Scott Roudebush were included among a group of 138 NCAA Division I golfers honored, as TCU led all teams nationally with four individuals selections.
In order to be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status, individuals must meet the following requirements:
- Own at least junior academic standing
- Competed in at least two full years at the collegiate level
- Participate in 70 percent or more of his team's competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships
- Record a stroke average under 76.0
- Maintain a minimum cu mulative grade-point average of 3.2
- Be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university
Hoge was named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar for the second time in his career, while Cole, de Beer and Roudebush each were honored for the first time. All four Frogs also were named to Academic All-Mountain West Conference earlier this summer.
As a group, the men's golf team ranks as one of TCU's most successful programs in the classroom, having combined for a 3.16 grade-point average during the 2010-11 fall and spring semesters.
