THANK YOU!
Congratulations and a heartfelt thanks to all our Frog Club volunteers as well as our Frog Club board and staff for a job very well done on enabling us to enjoy a record-breaking year for the Frog Club. For the first time, we went over the $5 million mark in donations as well as topping 5,000 members. John Denton, our Frog Club director, and his incredible staff are certainly to be commended for their efforts in organizing such a dedicated group of loyal Frogs who made this happen. Our volunteer group and Board are amazing. This is what makes TCU special and is an incredible statement to our momentum and the pride being felt in TCU and the student-athletes representing us so well.
TICKET UPDATE
We're now over 18,300 on season tickets sold for the 2011 football season. At this time last year, en route to a record-setting total, we were at 13,500. We are definitely making progress on our goal of reaching 25,000 season tickets sold for this fall.
MARKETING ELEMENTS
A lot of folks have been asking me when our football promotional pieces will be ready for the coming season. In the next two weeks, we'll have our poster and trading cards available. They are just about to hit the press. Make sure to keep an eye out for them. We have also begun work on our 2010-11 Annual Report and will have that ready in August.
FROM THE HARD HATS
It seems like there's always something new going on at Amon G. Carter Stadium. From my office, I'm fortunate to have the best seat to watch it. The latest excitement is coming from the southeast corner of the stadium as work is well underway on our new video board that will be ready this fall. Make sure to follow all the progress with our live webcam on GoFrogs.com. You can see the upper deck really taking shape. Last week, we mentioned our recent $10 million gift for the east side that has moved our dream of a completely renovated Amon G. Carter Stadium closer to reality.

IT'S A WRAP
Our 2010-11 athletics season officially closed last week in Des Moines, Iowa, at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Jessica Young led the way with a bronze medal in the 100 meters. She won silver at the 2009 NCAA Championships. It was a tremendous way for her to close a great career for us. Our women tied for 27th overall, equaling their best finish in program history.

NEW FACES
We have some new faces around our department. Please join me in welcoming Reggie Brown, Kendrick Gholston and Dan Riester to the TCU community. Reggie is a new assistant coach in our men's basketball program, Kendrick is an assistant director in our athletic-academic services office, while Dan is in the new Frog Club/ticket office position of gift processing and assistant ticket manager.
COMPLIANCE CORNER
Institutional Control is key when it comes to NCAA Compliance. The NCAA's principle of institutional control vests in the institution the responsibility for the conduct of its athletics program, including the actions of its staff members and representatives of its athletics interests. In fulfilling this principle, the institution shall demonstrate that: (a.) The institution's governing board provides oversight and broad policy formulation for intercollegiate athletics in a manner consistent with other units of the institution; (b.) The chancellor or president is assigned ultimate responsibility and authority for the operation, fiscal integrity and personnel of the athletics program; and (c.) Appropriate campus constituencies have the opportunity, under the purview of the president or chancellor, to provide input into the formulation of policies relating to the conduct of the athletics program and to review periodically the implementation of such policies. The best way to sum it up is, "Always ask before you act!"
CAMPING WITH THE FROGS
Summer is in full bloom. If you're like me, and need to give your wife a break, there's no better way to get the kids out of the house than sending them to a summer camp at TCU. My daughters are having a blast at soccer camp this week. We hope to see your young ones on campus. Make sure to check out our summer camp SCHEDULE.
CONGRATS MAVS!
How about our NBA Champions! We root for all our local teams, and it's great for all of us when they do well. It was fun to watch the Mavericks and their great run to the title. They were a true team. Perhaps inspiration for their championship came from Gary Patterson's appearance on the motivational video shown on the video board at the American Airlines Center during home games in the NBA Finals.
KEEP IN TOUCH
Please let us know if you ever have any questions or concerns regarding our program. This is also your program and we value your feedback. We welcome all calls and emails.
