Winkler and Young Honored as Athletes of the Week

FORT WORTH - Kyle Winkler and Jessica Young are the TCU Athletes of the Week, it was announced Tuesday.
Winkler picked up the win in TCU's 701 triumph over Houston Baptist last Friday night. The junior hurler tossed six innings of four-hit ball, allowing just an unearned run while striking out seven.
The Sugar Land, Texas, native found the strike zone 55 times on 83 pitches and has yet to allow an earned run this season.
Young tied her own school record in the 60 meters with a 7.17 on her way to taking silver standards at the NCAA Championships, which is the highest finish for a female Frog in the event.
The Columbia, S.C., native, helped break the school record in the 4x400 (3:34.00). TCU's 13th-place finish was its highest-ever team finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships. Young garnered her 5th and 6th All-American honors.
