FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU graduate Tim Halperin will be one of 12 male finalists on American Idol Tuesday at 7 p.m. CST on FOX.

Halperin has been an integral part of the partnership between TCU athletics and Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The theme for this year's TCU baseball team is "We Fight Back," the name of Halperin's song to support cancer research. The inspiration for the song came from breast cancer survivor testimonials.

Votes for Tim can be made at the following link: http://www.americanidol.com. Voting is open for two hours beginning at 8:30 p.m. CST. There are unlimited text and phone votes. Individuals can also vote up to 50 times on americanidol.com using Facebook accounts.
