FORT WORTH - TCU's Athletics Department has named Jordan Raines and Jonathan Anderson as its Athletes of the Week, it was announced Tuesday.
Raines tallied 15 and 19 kills, respectively, in TCU's straight-set wins over Air Force and Boise State last week. For the two matches, she averaged 5.67 kills per set, while average 6.0 points per set.
Against Air Force, Raines, a senior, tallied a .609 hitting percentage to go along with nine digs and an ace. In the win over Boise State, the Coppell, Texas, native had six digs and an assist.
Anderson set a career-high with 17 tackles and grabbed his first career interception in TCU's 38-28 triumph over BYU last Friday. The redshirt freshman's previous career best for tackles was four earlier this season.
The Corpus Christi, Texas, native are the most from a Horned Frog since Martin Patterson totaled 20 against South Florida in 2004. Anderson's 17 tackles are the third-most by a TCU player in Patterson's 11 seasons as a head coach.
