
Frogs Set To Host Air Force and Boise State

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU volleyball team will wrap up the month of October hosting a pair of league matches as it continues to stay in the hunt for a conference championship. The Horned Frogs will welcome Air Force Thursday night in a nationally televised game on The Mtn. at 7 p.m. Boise State heads to town Saturday at 1 p.m.

TCU NOTABLES
TCU opened up the second half of conference play with a victory over New Mexico. It's the first time in school history the Frogs have swept the season series from the Lobos.
The victory moved the Frogs into sole possession of third place, just a game back from San Diego State.
Jordan Raines tied for the team lead with 12 kills in the match and posted her 12th double-double of the season in the win over New Mexico.
For her efforts, the MW tabbed Raines as its' Player of the Week. It's the first honor of her career and the third of the season for TCU.
Sarah Joeckel turned in another solid defensive performance with 21 digs in the sweep. It's her 12th 20-dig match of the season and the 21 digs in a three-set match are tied for 10th most in school history.
As a team, the Frogs hit .331 (48-7-124) making it the fourth-best attacking match of the season.
1,812 fans packed the Rec Center on Friday night, marking the fourth-highest attended match in school history. TCU has tallied six of the top-10 attendance marks this season.
AIR FORCE NOTABLES
The Falcons enter Thursday's contest on a 13-match skid that has seen them fail to win a set.
Air Force's last victory came on Sept. 10 against South Carolina Upstate. The Falcons handed the Spartans a 3-1 loss.
Air Force has also notched victories over Navy (3-0) and Bryant (3-1).
Cami Richan is the Falcon's leading offensive threat with an average of 2.99 kills per set.
Defensively, Maiya Perich paces the team with 4.41 digs per set, a mark that ranks third in the league.
The Falcons have served up 90 aces on the season, an average of 1.27 per set. That mark ranks second in the league behind San Diego State.
BOISE STATE NOTABLES
The Broncos enter the match with a 3-3 record in its last six matches.
Boise State handed Wyoming a 3-1 loss in its last match.
The Broncos schedule has been a challenging one, featuring three ranked teams.
Boise State is led offensively by Liz Harden's 2.60 kills per set.
Darlene Hwagbuo is a threat at the net, averaging 0.94 blocks per set. Her partner in crime in the front row is Brittany Reardon, who is averaging 0.80 blocks per set.
In the back row, Amanda Remy holds down the fort, ranking fifth in the league with an average of 4.17 digs per set.
Serving is a strong suit of Boise's attack as Casey Rose and Amandy Remy rank two and three with an average of 0.32 aces per set.
As a team, the Broncs average 1.25 aces per set.
THE SERIES HISTORY
The Horned Frogs and the Broncos are meeting for just the third time on the volleyball court.
TCU has won both meetings, including a thrilling 3-2 victory earlier this season in Boise.
The Horned Frogs rallied from a 2-1 deficit to beat the Broncos on Sept. 29.
TCU and Air Force will be meeting for the 17th time on the volleyball court.
The Frogs have dominated the series, holding a 14-2 advantage.
The Frogs have won 12 straight and are 7-0 all time against the Falcons in Fort Worth.
