THANK YOU!
It's Homecoming week! We look forward to welcoming back all our alumni, parents and family members who will be in town for Saturday's football game with New Mexico. Homecoming is always a festive occasion on a college campus. I'd like to start this week's blog by thanking everyone who purchased club seats at our Club Seat Selection. From our Big 12 announcement to selling out our club seats, it was truly a great week in the Horned Frog family. Except for some scattered singles, all 2,500 club seats were sold. We sincerely apologize to those club seat depositors who did not have a chance to select seats. For those who asked to be considered for the single tickets, we will be contacting you this week in seat selection order until all seats have been sold. Those not having a chance to select will have an opportunity to purchase seats if they become available in the future.
HORNED FROG CLASSIC ANOTHER SUCCESS
The 33rd-annual Horned Frog Classic was held Monday at Colonial Country Club. This longtime tradition is a very important event for us in supporting scholarships for our men's and women's golf programs. Many thanks to our host, and great partner, Colonial Country Club for a terrific day. Thanks, also, to all our sponsors and especially our presenting sponsor Greenwood Office Outfitters. Congratulations to Mike Herman, Trevor Armstrong, George Wood and Brent Franks, the 2011 Horned Frog Classic Champions. They'll represent TCU at the Acura College Alumni Team Championship at Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina on Oct. 27-30.
QR CODE SPECIAL
If you haven't purchased your official TCU football season t-shirt yet, make sure to pick one up for just $10 at GoFrogs.com. Scan the QR Code on the back of the shirt all season long for exclusive content and offers. For example, you can scan the QR Code at Saturday's football game versus New Mexico and receive a message for a great special at the Sassy Hot Dog stand located inside the stadium. Buy your 2011 shirt HERE.

PHONES ARE RINGING
Our ticket office continues to be busy with many of you still buying your 2011 season tickets to make sure you're in position for next year. The best way to guarantee your seat for next fall's Big 12 debut is to be a season ticket holder now. If you haven't already, make sure to add to our record total of more than 22,000 season tickets sold in 2011.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
After Saturday's home game with New Mexico, make sure to check out the back of the North end zone video board at Amon G. Carter Stadium. We'll have the TCU logo being placed. This will provide unbelievable visibility for us. Next week, we'll also have the concrete tubs being filled as we complete the upper deck on the west side. There's actually a lot of work being done in the upper deck, including the installation of concession stands and restrooms, in preparation for next fall.
TWEET YOUR SEAT
We're taking a lot of pride in our social media initiatives. The latest will be making its debut on Twitter at Saturday's football game. It will be Tweet Your Seat Day. We're asking you to tweet your seat location to @TCU_Athletics during the first half of the game. We will then pick random winners and personally deliver to you a gift card from Freebirds.

FRIDAY NIGHT FUN
Our home athletics weekend doesn't begin with Saturday's football game. It starts Friday night with a pair of contests in the Rec Center. Our women's swimming and diving team hosts New Mexico State at 6 p.m. Across the hall, we'll have a 7 p.m. volleyball match against New Mexico.
GREAT PERFORMANCES
In case you missed it, we had a very impressive effort on the tennis court in Waco Sunday. Our doubles team of Federica Denti and Kelsey Sundaram won the title at the HEB Baylor Invitational. In the process, Federica and Kelsey beat a pair of doubles teams from Baylor as well as a duo from Texas A&M. We also had a great effort at the Pan-American Games in Mexico as men's swimmer Edgar Crespo finished fifth in the breaststroke.
RECORD CROWDS
How about Friday night at Garvey-Rosenthal Stadium! We had a school record 2,803 in attendance as our soccer team recorded a 2-1 victory over Air Force. A special tip of the cap goes to all of you who were there. We once again rank among the national leaders in soccer attendance. Our average attendance of 1,731 would rank second in the Big 12 this season.
DINNER ON THE HARDWOOD
Please mark your calendar for Thursday, Oct. 27, as our men's basketball program hosts its second-annual Tip-Off Dinner at 7:30 p.m. Dinner will be served on the floor of the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum as you'll have a unique opportunity for a very close look at our men's basketball program and its student-athletes. The evening will feature a slam dunk and 3-point shooting contest as well as fun skits. Individual tickets are $30 with table sponsorships and VIP options also available. Just like it did last year, this event is expected to sell out. For more information, please contact our men's basketball office at (817) 257-7968.
