Stephanie Holland totaled nine kills and Kristen Hester seven to help lead the Frogs to victory. Megan Munce dished out 31 assists and tallied seven digs. Holland led the Frogs defensively with six blocks, while Hester and Igodan pitched in with four. Sarah Joeckel led the Frogs with 12 digs.
Holding onto a 5-3 lead, Kristen Hester served the Frogs to a 9-4 advantage, helped along by kills from Munce and three straight from Igodan. Hester and Holland teamed on a block to push the lead to seven, 15-8.
The Falcons kept the set close and worked their way back within five, 21-16, before the Frogs opened up a 4-1 run that squelched the Falcon rally. Igodan started the rally and back-to-back kills by Hester gave the Frogs set point. A Falcon attacking error locked up the 25-18 victory for TCU.
A competitive second set saw the Frogs battle through 12 ties and four lead changes before they eventually came away with the 25-20 set two win. With the score tied at eight a back-and-forth battle ensued until a kill from Igodan broke a 15-all tie to give the Frogs a lead they would never relinquish.
Igodan and Sloane Sunstrum teamed on a block to give the Frogs their largest lead of the set, 18-15. Another block, this time by Mattie Burleson and Sunstrum pushed the lead to six, 23-17. Maddy Brown gave the Frogs set point and an attacking error locked up the 2-0 match lead for TCU.
Air Force fought hard in the third set to try and get back in the match, but the Frogs weathered the storm and completed the sweep with a 27-25 victory. Back-to-back kills by Raines gave TCU a 12-11 lead and three straight attacking errors by Air Force made it a 15-11 contest.
The Falcons battled back to tie the set at 23 and took a 24-23 lead on a Frog attacking error. Igodan and Munce blocked away the Falcons first set point bid and Igodan tallied a kill to squelch the second set point for Air Force, tying the set at 25. Igodan and Holland teamed on a denial to give TCU match point and Holland finished off the win for TCU.
The Horned Frogs improve to 16-1 on the season and 3-0 in league play. TCU returns home to host San Diego State on Thursday night. First serve is set for 7 p.m. The match will air live on The Mtn.
