Team Notes
*TCU improved to 14-3 in its last 17 games versus teams from BCS automatic-qualifying conferences.
*Since 2003, TCU's 13 wins over teams from AQ conferences trail only Navy (15) and Utah (15).
*TCU head coach Gary Patterson improved to 9-7 in his career against ranked opponents.
*Patterson is now 4-0 versus Pac-10 teams.
*TCU won its eighth straight season opener.
*TCU won its 32nd straight game when rushing for more yards (278) than passing (175). The Horned Frogs also won for the 41st consecutive time when rushing for at least 167 yards and are now 46-2 under Patterson when totaling at least 200 yards on the ground.
*The Frogs are now 43-3 in their last 46 games when allowing less than 333 yards of offense.
*TCU won for the 42nd time in its last 44 games when leading in time of possession. The Frogs controlled the ball for 39:23 to the Beavers' 20:37.
*TCU ran 81 plays to the Beavers' 51. The fewest snaps a team ran against the Frogs' last season was 51 by Virginia.
*The Frogs were minus-2 in turnover margin and are now 9-10 the last five seasons when behind in that category. TCU is 45-1 in that same stretch when ahead or even in turnover margin.
*TCU improved to 6-4 in neutral-site games under Patterson.
Individual Notes
*Andy Dalton recorded his 30th victory as TCU's starting quarterback, breaking Slingin' Sammy Baugh's school record of 29 from 1934-36. Dalton leads the nation among active quarterbacks with his 30 wins.
*Dalton's 1-yard second-quarter touchdown pass to Jeremy Kerley was his 45th career scoring toss. He ranks second all-time at TCU behind Max Knake (49, 1992-95).
*Dalton's 6- and 4-yard rushing touchdowns were his 17th and 18th career scores on the ground.
*With 134 yards rushing on 17 carries, Ed Wesley recorded his second career 100-yard game. He had 137 yards on 12 carries in last year's 55-28 win over Utah.
*Wesley's 8-yard second-quarter scoring run was his fifth career rushing touchdown.
*Kerley tied a career high with six receptions, a mark previously set in the 2010 Fiesta Bowl against Boise State.
*Defensive end Wayne Daniels recorded the first two-sack game of his career. He was second on last year's TCU team with 5 1/2 sacks.
*Daniels finished with three tackles for loss, setting a personal best, while also recording a forced fumble on the game's second play from scrimmage.
*Ross Evans' four extra-points made give him 114 in his career, tying him for TCU's all-time PAT mark held by Chris Kaylakie (1998-00).
*With four extra-point attempts, Evans has 122 in his career to tie Chris Manfredini (2005-07) for TCU's all-time lead.
*A 52-yard first-quarter reception by Skye Dawson represented his first career catch. He finished with four receptions for 69 yards.
*Josh Boyce had a 5-yard fourth-quarter reception for his first career catch.
*Sophomore linebacker Tanner Brock, redshirt freshman defensive end Stansly Maponga and offensive tackle Zach Roth made their first career starts.
