FORT WORTH - The TCU Athletic Department has named Alex Ibiloye and Christy Hudson as its Athletes of the Week for the week of Sept. 13.
Ibiloye, a senior defensive back for the Horned Frogs, became the first player to force multiple fumbles in a game since Jerry Hughes in 2008.
The Garland, Texas, native forced three fumbles, along with racking up a team-high nine tackles in the 62-7 win over Tennessee Tech. For his efforts, Ibiloye was named the Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
On the women's side, volleyball senior Christy Hudson earned Athlete of the Week honors after notching 49 kills in four matches during the past week, averaging 3.06 kills per set.
Hudson, a Yorba Linda, Calif., native, posted double-figure kills in three of the four matches, including leading the Frogs with 13 against George Mason.
Defensively, she racked up 51 digs for an average of 3.19 per set and was third on the team with six blocks. TCU went 3-1 on the week, including 3-0 at the Rutgers Invitational on its way to the team title.
