FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU junior Courtney Chown recently sat down with GoFrogs.com to give fans her thoughts on the 2009-10 equestrian season and much more.
Chown, a Pilot Point native, finished the season with an 11-4-1 record between Horsemanship and Reining. Overall, she went 10-3-1 in Horsemanship, while also collecting three MVP accolades during the course of the season.
At nationals, Chown, who was the No. 6 seed in Horsemanship, helped TCU place fifth overall in the Western Division and fourth in the final team standings, which is the highest placing ever for a Horned Frog squad at nationals.
What have you been doing this summer?
I have been working and riding.
How do you think the 2009-10 season went?
The 2009-10 season was a good year.
How do you feel this season will go?
I have high hopes for this season.
What do you like most about Equestrian?
The girls.
If you could choose any other sport, what would you play?
I don't know that I would. I have shown horses all my life and I absolutely love it.
What is your favorite part about TCU?
My favorite part about TCU is being in Fort Worth.
If you were stranded on an island what two things would you need?
I would probably take a tooth brush and phone.
What is your favorite movie?
I don't really have one.
If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go?
Italy.
What is your favorite singer or song to listen to right now?
Right now, Kid Rock is in my CD player.
