
Featherston Invited To Team USA Trials

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU sophomore shortstop Taylor Featherston has been invited to the Team USA Trials which begin July 5 in Cary, N.C. Featherston will join fellow Horned Frog Kyle Winkler at the trials.
Featherston put together a solid sophomore campaign, playing in 60 games and batting a career-high .338 on the season. The MVP of the Fort Worth Regional, Featherston was also named first-team all-conference and was selected as the shortstop representative on the College World Series All-Tournament team. He posted career-highs with 59 runs scored, 78 hits, 52 RBIS, 16 doubles, seven triples and eight home runs.
The 2010 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Trials is scheduled for July 5-11 in Cary, N.C. The final 22-man 2010 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team will be selected on Sunday, July 11. The team will embark on a tour which includes a domestic series with Korea and the FISU World University Championship in Tokyo.
