
TCU Tabbed One-Seed; Will Face Lamar

FORT WORTH, Texas - The NCAA Baseball Regional brackets were announced Monday on ESPN. The TCU Horned Frogs, hosting their second regional in as many years, will face the region's four-seed, Lamar on Friday night at 7 p.m. at Lupton Stadium.The other game in the Fort Worth Regional will see No. 2 Baylor versus No. 3 Arizona. That game will be at 2 p.m. on Friday.
The tournament is scheduled to begin on Friday, June 4 and run through Monday.
For the first time in school history, the Frogs have earned seven straight trips to the NCAA Regionals. This is the Frogs ninth overall trip to the regionals. The previous seven trips came in 1956, 1994, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. They are one of just 14 teams to appear in each of the last seven regionals.
The winner of the Fort Worth Regional will play the winner of the Austin Regional in the Super Regionals. The four teams in that region include, the host school, Texas, Rice, Louisiana-Lafayette and Rider.
The Mountain West Conference sends multiple teams for the second straight season as New Mexico earned an at-large bid and will be the third seed in the Cal State Fullerton Regional. The Lobos will face the region's No. 2 seed, Stanford.
