Brock and Hester Notch Athlete of the Week Honors

FORT WORTH - Tanner Brock and Irene Hester are TCU's Athletes of the Week for the week of Nov. 29, the TCU Athletics Department announced Tuesday.
Brock recorded 11 tackles to propel TCU to a 66-17 win over New Mexico and its second-consecutive undefeated regular season. He was the only Horned Frog to reach double figures in tackles.
The sophomore linebacker from Copperas Cove, Texas led TCU in tackles for the seventh time this season. It marked the fourth time in eight Mountain West Conference games that Brock has reached double figures in stops.
On the women's side, Hester tallied 34 kills in TCU's season-closing wins over San Diego State and South Florida. In the SDSU match, she racked up 18 kills and 15 digs. Against USF, she notched 16 kills and a hitting percentage of 42.0 percent.
For the week, the senior from Fort Worth averaged 4.86 kills per set and 3.43 digs per set. Hester's efforts led to her being named to the All-MWC team for the first time in her TCU career.
