FORT WORTH, Texas -- To allow fans to discuss and share their thoughts about seating and parking for when Amon G. Carter Stadium is renovated immediately after this season, TCU Athletics will host a pair of Town Hall Meetings Tuesday and Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Brown-Lupton University Union.
The meetings will be held in the third floor ballroom of the BLUU and be streamed live on www.GoFrogs.com.
"The primary focus of these Town Hall Meetings is to hear from our season-ticket holders and fans," TCU director of intercollegiate athletics Chris Del Conte said. "Nothing has been formalized yet as far as seat locations, pricing and parking.
"We want to receive input from everyone at the meetings before we move forward with any plans on our end."
The $105 million renovation of Amon G. Carter Stadium will enhance the football fan experience, upgrade amenities and transform the historic Fort Worth icon into the "Camden Yards" of collegiate football stadiums.
The renovations also include the addition of 24 suites on the west side, up to 2,300 club seats and a new press box. The north end zone will see the addition of a second deck.
TCU has sold a school record 19,143 football season tickets in 2010, shattering the previous mark of 14,490 from 2007. Dating back to last season, the Horned Frogs' last four home games have seen an average attendance of 44,139 - representing 99.5 percent of the stadium's current 44,358-seat capacity.
As part of the Town Hall Meeting program each evening, a power-point presentation of the renovated Amon G. Carter Stadium will be shown. More information on the stadium can be found at www.stadium.tcu.edu.
Those attending the Town Hall Meetings are encouraged to arrive early as a large crowd is expected and seating is limited. To be included on distribution lists for information on future Town Hall Meetings and other stadium renovation news, an e-mail can be sent to stadium@tcu.edu or call (817) 257-5658.
