NOTES ON A SCORECARD
It's another exciting week for the Horned Frogs! Our fifth-ranked football team remains undefeated and hosts Wyoming Saturday at 2:30 p.m., volleyball and soccer are both home Friday night at 7 and Monday's Horned Frog Classic, presented by our good friends at Greenwood Office Outfitters, is sold out.
TOWN HALL MEETINGS
Our focus at next week's Town Hall Meetings is to hear from you and receive your input as we formulate our ticket reallocation and parking plans with the renovation of Amon G. Carter Stadium. We hope you'll join us next Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 12 and 13, at 7 p.m. in the third-floor ballroom of the Brown-Lupton University Union. Please arrive early either night you attend as very strong turnouts are expected. For those of you out-of-town or unable to make it, we will stream the meetings live on our Web site (www.GoFrogs.com).
FALL BREAK
Even though we know some students are remaining in town this weekend, it will be Fall Break on campus. There are no classes scheduled for Monday and Tuesday. Many of our students will be departing. Our student-athletes and coaches in the football program deserve your support and you've already responded in an unbelievable manner. We've been at 99.5 percent of capacity over our last four home games. We hope to see you Saturday at Amon G. Carter Stadium. Only four home games remain in our historic icon as we know it.
SPECIAL GUESTS
Over 800 members of the Christian Youth Fellowship (CYF) will be in attendance at Saturday's home football game with Wyoming. We will also have kids from the Keller and Arlington ISDs joining us in the TCU Energy Zone, presented by Chesapeake Energy and Collins and Young.
A CHEER FEST
One of our more popular halftime shows returns Saturday with over 700 youth cheerleaders from across Texas performing as part of Cheer America.
WE FIGHT BACK
TCU graduate Tim Halperin's new single "We Fight Back" is now available on iTunes with proceeds being donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The focus of our sixth-annual Frogs for the Cure game, Oct. 16 versus BYU, is to increase awareness and support in the fight against breast cancer. The generosity of Tim is just one of the many aspects of what makes this event so special. For more information, please visit www.frogsforthecure.tcu.edu.
AMON'S LAST STAND
In looking ahead to the historic final game at our existing Amon G. Carter Stadium on Nov. 13 versus San Diego State, we have a committee formed on campus to study the proper celebration of our 80-year-old home. We'll be announcing details shortly.
HOW ABOUT A SHOPPING SPREE
If you haven't already, and since Christmas will be here before you know it, please make a point to visit our new and improved on-line store at www.GoFrogs.com. We have some great items available and have already reached a record in on-line sales in just the first couple of months of our new fiscal year.
FROM THE HARDWOOD
Season tickets are off to a good start for our men's and women's basketball programs. The men host the likes of USC, Northern Iowa, SMU and Houston in non-conference action, while the women also have a very tough home schedule with teams like Georgia and Oklahoma visiting the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.
KEEP IN TOUCH
Please let us know if you ever have any questions or concerns regarding our program. This is also your program and we value your feedback.
