ABOUT THE GAME
*No. 5 TCU opens a three-game homestand Saturday when it faces Wyoming.
*The Horned Frogs will be playing three consecutive home games for the first time since 2006, when UC Davis, Texas Tech and BYU came to Amon G. Carter Stadium.
*Over the last six seasons, the Frogs are 27-1 in day games. TCU's only loss in that stretch was a 24-21 defeat at Wyoming in 2007.
THE WIN COLUMN
*TCU has an 18-game regular-season winning streak.
*The Frogs have won 19 of their last 20 overall contests and are 31-3 in their last 34 games.
*TCU has also won 18 of its last 19 conference games.
*Ten of TCU's last 12 victories have been by at least 27 points. Eleven of the 12 wins are by 17 points or more.
DEFENDING THEIR HOME
*TCU has a 16-game home winning streak.
*In their last six home dates, TCU has allowed just seven touchdowns and have outscored their opponents 298-61 (an average margin of 50-10).
*Since 1999, TCU is 58-6 (.906) in its last 64 home games at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
*The Frogs haven't lost a Saturday home game since the 2004 season finale against Tulane.
HOME SWEET METROPLEX
*Seven of TCU's opening eight games are in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Included in the total are five home contests, a road game at SMU in Dallas and a neutral-site meeting with Oregon State at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.
*Last week's trip to Colorado State marked the Frogs' only time on an airplane in the opening eight weeks of the season.
GOOD STARTS
*TCU has opened with a 5-0 record for the second straight year and fourth time in 11 seasons. On the three previous occasions (2000, 2003, 2009), the Frogs went on to win at least 10 games.
GOOD OMENS
*Last week's 27-0 win at Colorado State could be a sign of good things to come for the Frogs in Mountain West Conference play this year.
*In the three previous seasons (2005, 2008, 2009) they won their MWC opener, the Frogs posted a combined 23-1 league record.
*In the two years (2006, 2007) it dropped its MWC opener, TCU's combined league mark was 10-6.
SERIES NOTES
*TCU holds a 4-2 series lead over Wyoming.
*Five of the six all-time meetings have taken place since the Frogs began Mountain West Conference play in 2005. TCU is 4-1 against Wyoming as league rivals.
*The Frogs are 2-1 versus the Cowboys in Fort Worth and 2-1 in Laramie.
*The only game between TCU and Wyoming prior to Mountain West Conference play was a 34-27 Cowboy victory in Fort Worth in 1998 when both teams were members of the Western Athletic Conference. TCU head coach Gary Patterson was in his first season as the Frogs' defensive coordinator.
ROAD BLANKINGS
*TCU's 27-0 win at Colorado State marked the first time in Gary Patterson's 10 seasons as head coach that the Frogs recorded a shutout on the road. The previous six shutouts under Patterson came in home games. TCU's last road shutout was a 24-0 win at Navy on Sept. 30, 2000, when Patterson was the Frogs' defensive coordinator.
*Colorado State was blanked at home for the first time since Sept. 20, 1997, when Air Force defeated the Rams 24-0.
NO FLAGS
*TCU did not commit a penalty in last year's 45-10 win at Wyoming, its first flag-free game since the 2007 regular-season finale at San Diego State.
