Team Notes
*TCU is 7-0 for the second-straight year and fourth time in 11 seasons.

*TCU ran its MWC winning streak to 12 in a row. The Horned Frogs have won 20 of their last 21 games in conference play since dropping a 27-22 decision to BYU on Nov. 8, 2007. The only loss in that stretch was a 13-10 defeat at Utah on Nov. 6, 2008.
*The Horned Frogs have won 18 straight home games, also a school record. In four home contests this season, TCU has outscored its opponents 183-20. Since 1999, TCU is 60-6 in its last 66 home contests at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
*In its last eight home games, TCU has allowed just seven touchdowns and has outscored its opponents 374-64 (an average margin of 47-8).
*A 27-yard field goal by BYU's Mitch Payne with 1:14 to play in the third quarter were the first points TCU has allowed in a span of 175:10. It covered four games dating back to a Sept. 24 contest at SMU. The Horned Frogs entered the game with back-to-back shutouts over Colorado State (27-0) and Wyoming (45-0). TCU has not surrendered a touchdown in three October games, all Mountain West Conference contests.
*TCU was bidding to become the first team to record three straight shutouts since Boston College in 1992 and the first Horned Frog squad since 1955.
*For the third straight week, the Horned Frogs held an opponent under 200 yards in total offense (Colorado State, 161; Wyoming, 191; BYU, 147).
*BYU's 147 yards of offense marked the lowest total by a TCU opponent since San Diego State was held to 87 yards in a 41-7 TCU victory on Oct. 4, 2008.
*TCU did not commit a turnover for the fourth time in five contests. The Horned Frogs had two takeaways and are now 50-1 when ahead (36-1) or even (14-0) in turnover margin over the last six seasons.
*TCU held the ball for 35:44 in time of possession and is now 47-2 in its last 49 games when ahead in that category.
*TCU did not score in the third quarter, snapping its streak of scoring in every quarter this season.
*TCU had scored on its first three possessions in its opening three home games before being forced to punt on its first series today. The Horned Frogs did not score on their opening possession for just the third time in seven games this season.
Individual Notes
*Andy Dalton was 24-of-36 and has now completed 76.3 percent of his passes (74-of-97) with 10 touchdowns and no interceptions in four home games this season. He has thrown for 992 yards.
*Dalton threw four touchdown passes for the third time in his career. He also had four versus Air Force in 2008 and against New Mexico last season.
*Dalton's 273 yards passing were a season-high and the most since throwing for 321 yards in the 2008 regular-season finale versus Air Force.
*Josh Boyce had career-best totals of eight receptions for 127 yards, including 35- and 20-yard touchdowns. It's the most catches in a game by a Horned Frog since Donald Massey totaled eight catches for 85 yards versus BYU in 2006.
*Boyce's performance represented TCU's first 100-yard receiving game since Antoine Hicks totaled 123 yards on five catches in last year's regular-season finale versus New Mexico. It was the most receiving yards by a Horned Frog since Jimmy Young totaled a school-record 226 yards on five receptions on Oct. 25, 2008 against Wyoming.
*A 17-yard first-quarter pass to Bart Johnson marked the 700th career completion for Andy Dalton, TCU's all-time leader in that category.
*The reception extended Johnson's team-best and career-high streak to 29 consecutive games with at least one catch. It's tied for the 14th-longest active streak in the nation.
*A 20-yard first-quarter rush by Dalton marked his longest carry of the season.
*A 20-yard first-quarter field goal by Ross Evans made him 5-of-5 on the season.
*With 40 yards on three catches, Jimmy Young has 1,996 receiving yards in his career. He needs four yards to become the sixth player in TCU history to reach 2,000 career receiving yards.
*Young's three receptions give him 125 in his career, tying him with Stanley Washington (1979-82) for seventh on TCU's all-time list.
*Tejay Johnson recorded his team-best second interception of the season and the sixth of his career, most among active Horned Frogs.
*Tank Carder had his second career interception with a second-quarter pick.
