
Lady Frogs Garner Fall Academic Success

FORT WORTH—The TCU women's basketball, currently on track for a successful season on the court, also showed its determination in the classroom with one of the top academic performances in program history during the Fall 2009 semester.
Twelve current and one former women's basketball student-athlete combined to record a team semester grade-point average of 3.160, the highest figure for the program since TCU began tracking records in 1998.
Other impressive academic facts to come out of the previous semester include:
- Eleven of the 13 student-athletes recorded fall semester GPAs of 3.0 or better.
- Three student-athletes recorded fall semester GPAs of 3.5 or better.
- Six student-athletes recorded fall semester GPAs of 3.3 or better.
- Junior Helena Sverrisdottir recorded a perfect 4.0 GPA.
- Eboni Mangum and Chantelle John earned bachelor's degrees in communications in December and have started working toward master's degrees this semester.
- TK LaFleur and former Lady Frog Michaela Younger are on track to graduate in May.
