TCU forward Kevin Langford (Fort Worth, Texas | University of California) signed a professional contract with the Paderborn Baskets of the Basketball Bundesliga League in Germany and will begin play with his new team this fall.
Langford became the first-ever TCU player to earn three consecutive trips to the All-Mountain West Conference all-star team as the Fort Worth native earned second team accolades this past season.
A mainstay in the TCU rotation in each of his three seasons, Langford started 91 consecutive games for the Frogs and posted a double-digit scoring performance in 66 of those contests. The TCU forward concluded his career tied for sixth overall in games started in the Frogs' record books.
Langford finished his tenure ranked second in all-time free throws made (414) and third in free throw attempts (601) in the TCU record books. The 6-8 forward became only the third player in program history to surpass the 400 free throws made milestone for his career, and he also recorded the fifth-highest mark in Mountain West Conference career history.
The three-time all-conference performer became the 15th player in program history to post over 1,200 career points for his Frogs' career as he concluded his tenure ranked 14th in the all-time scoring list (1,227 points). Langford also became only one of 10 players in program history to reach the 1,200-point milestone in three seasons.
Langford will have ties to the Frogs' program and head coach Jim Christian in Germany as Paderborn announced the signing of former Kent State guard DeAndre Haynes last week.
