
Hodge and Frater In Action At World Championships

BERLIN, Germany - Former Flyin' Frog greats Michael Frater and Virgil Hodge competed in the men's and women's 100 meters, respectively, on Sunday at the 12th annual IAAF World Championships.Hodge, a six-time All-American, clocked a quarterfinal time of 11.51 seconds to finish fifth overall in heat No. 4, but failed to make the semifinal round of the women's 100 meters. The St. Kitts native opened the day qualifying for the quarterfinals by placing second in heat No. 3 with a time of 11.47 seconds.
In the semifinals of the men's 100 meters, Frater crossed the finish line in fifth-place in heat No. 2 with a time of 10.14 seconds. The former All-American just missed making the finals inside Olympic Stadium on Sunday.
Frater and Kim Collins will take to the track on August 18 in the opening round of the men's 200 meters in Berlin.
