
Four Frogs Earn Berth to 2009 United States Amateur

FORT WORTH, Texas - Current TCU golfers Travis Woolf (Fort Worth, Texas | Paschal H.S.), Tom Hoge (Fargo, N.D. | Fargo South H.S.) and Scott Roudebush (Austin, Texas | Austin H.S.) in addition to former Frog James Sacheck (The Woodlands, Texas | Zionsville H.S.) all earned a berth at the 2009 United States Amateur, which will be held on Aug. 24-30.
Woolf earned a berth to his second straight appearance at the United States Amateur after finishing tied for first at the U.S. Amateur Sectional Qualifier. The TCU senior collected a two-round score of 137 at the Split Rail Links & Golf Club on Aug. 11th.
Hoge earned his second straight berth at the United States Amateur after the TCU junior collected a tournament victory in the sectional qualifier at the Fargo Country Club following a two-round score of 134 - a margin of 11 strokes over his nearest competitor.
Roudebush earned his first appearance at the United States Amateur after capturing the title at the U.S. Amateur Sectional Qualifier following a two-round tally of 143 at the Southern Oaks Golf Club on July 27th.
Sacheck will be making his fifth consecutive appearance at the United States Amateur after the recent TCU graduate collected a third-place showing at the sectional qualifier on July 27th at the Victoria National Golf Club in Newburgh, Ind.
The 2009 United States Amateur will take place on Aug. 24-30 at the Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Okla., and will feature 312 of the top amateur players in the country.
