Coming off a 1-0 setback at Wyoming, TCU was looking for answers and fell behind early to Air Force on Oct. 12. Entering into the second half, the Horned Frogs used an attack of Chelsey Wilgenburg, Courtney Johnson, Kelly Faerber, Kaitlyn Shelledy, Michelle Nguyen, Katie Runyon and Kaylie Garcia to ignite the TCU offense.
The No. 5 Play Of 2008
In the 61st minute of a contest in which TCU was staring at its second-consecutive loss in conference play, senior Caroline Starns came through in a big way as she netted her third goal of the season off an assist from Runyon.
Starns knotted the match at 1-1, heading the ball into the left corner of the goal off a bending ball by Runyon.
The Significance
The goal broke the spirit of the Falcons upset bid and put a fire underneath the Purple and White. TCU would go on to win the contest, 3-1 and in the process regain its confidence going into the homestretch of the season.
