TCU Athletics Selects Athletes of the Week

FORT WORTH, Texas - The women's 4x400 relay team and Matt Vern were named TCU Athletes of the Week this past week.The women's 4x400 consisting of Kishelle Paul, Jessica Clarke, Shekila Wilkinson and Jessica Young crossed the finish line in third-place at the Texas Relays with a seasonal-best time of 3:33.01, which is currently the No. 3 ranked time in the NCAA and the seventh-best time in the world standings. The unit's time is also the third-best outdoor time in program history for the women's 4x400.
Matt Vern played a huge role in helping the frogs sweep four games last week. Vern hit safely in all four games going 6-for-6 in the first three. In the weekend series against No. 18 New Mexico, Vern hit .778 with a homerun in each contest, including one on Friday to tie the game at 1-1.
