FORT WORTH, Texas - With the 2009 spring season wrapping up this weekend, GoFrogs.com recently sat down with TCU sophomore defender Katie Taylor to get her thoughts on the Horned Frogs this spring.
How has your spring season gone?
"This spring so far has gone really well. We have taken our game and pushed it to the next level. I am so proud of the girls and how hard they have pushed themselves this spring."
Have you learned anything about the team this spring?
"The main thing I have learned about our team is that we have heart. I don't think that any other team could have gone through as many weeks as we have and stayed as consistent."
What do you expect this next season?
"I expect our team to come out as fired up as we did last season and get the job done. Everyone knows the numbers that we put up, but we didn't finish the job. My expectations are to play better then we did last year and finish the job, winning a championship."
What are your goals going into the summer?
"I would like to better my left foot and be able to read the game a little faster, so I am able to give direction faster."
Has this spring been different then other ones you have been associated with?
"This spring we looked ready to play. Never in the past have I ever heard anyone on our team say that they missed playing games. We are really excited looking into the future and wanting to get this next season started."
Other then soccer, what have you done for fun this spring away from the field?
"We have started a couple of things away from the field this spring. For the most part every Friday night a group of us go to the movies and its not only soccer players, but women's basketball and football players. We also as a team like to go to the baseball games. We are always supporting our fellow Frogs."
