FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU women's tennis team took some time to give back to their community before heading to the Mountain West Conference Championship by pitching in with TCU Leaps and FW Herd Saturday.
The Horned Frogs spent the morning painting the exterior fencing and gates around the Fort Worth Livestock Exchange in the historic Stockyards, while also cleaning up the area.
"It was a great time today at the Stockyards helping out the community," TCU head coach Jefferson Hammond. "The girls had a nice time and it was a pleasure to be able to help out."
FW Herd is a group dedicated to preserving the heritage of Cowtown, presenting Stockyard visitors with a glimpse into Ft. Worth's past, including daily cattle drives.
LEAPS is an annual campus-wide community service event at TCU, giving students, faculty and staff the opportunity to make a difference for the city of Fort Worth and its people in need.
The Horned Frogs will travel to Albuquerque, N.M. for the MWC Championship, April 22-25.
