Frogs Tied for Fourth at UH Hilo Intercollegiate Tournament

The TCU men's golf program concluded the first round of action at the UH Hilo Intercollegiate Tournament tied for fourth place with Texas Tech at the Mauna Lani Resort - North Course on Wednesday (Feb. 4).
The Frogs finished the first round of action with a team score of 291 while Washington (281), USC (285), Oregon (287) and Texas Tech (291) round out the top-five after 18 holes of competition.
Tom Hoge (Fargo, N.D. | Fargo South H.S.) was the Frogs' top golfer on Wednesday afternoon as the TCU sophomore posted a two-under-par score of 70 en route to tying for fifth place after one round action.
TCU newcomer Alexander Knappe (Brilon, Germany | Berufs High School) posted an even-par score of 72 en route to tying for 17th place while Johan de Beer (Pretoria, South Africa | Pretoria Boys' High School) was a single stroke back of his teammate with a one-over-par score of 73 while holding 24th-place at the UH Hilo Intercollegiate Tournament.
James Sacheck (The Woodlands, Texas | Zionsville High School) concluded his first round of action tied for 47th-place with a score of 76 while Travis Woolf (Fort Worth, Texas | Paschal High School) was listed in 72nd-place with a score of 79 after the first 18 holes of action.
The second round of action will be held on Thursday (Feb. 5) at the Mauna Lani Resort-North Course.
