
NCAA Releases Teams Competing at NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- The NCAA Men's and Woman's Rifle Committee has released the eight teams that will be competing in this year's NCAA National Championships. The field of eight features the best teams in the nation based on their performances during the regular season. Along with the eight teams competing, there are also individual shooters that will vie for a national championship.
The teams competing are:
- University of Alaska Fairbanks
- Jacksonville State University
- University of Kentucky
- University of Nevada, Reno
- U.S. Military Academy
- U.S. Naval Academy
- West Virginia University
At last year's championship in West Point, N.Y., the Alaska Nanooks took first place by a small margin of 10 points over Army. The Horned Frogs finished in third overall. The third place finish was the highest ever in the team's history.
The NCAA Championships will be held March 13-14 on the campus of TCU. The smallbore portion of the match will be shot at the TCU Rifle Range while air rifle will be fired in Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.
