FORT WORTH--TCU looks to hold onto its second-place position in the Mountain West Conference standings Saturday at 5 p.m. when it plays host to Wyoming at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. The Lady Frogs and Cowgirls will don pink attire as part of the WBCA's "Pink Zone" initiative, which was designed to help assist in raising awareness for the fight against breast cancer. The first 150 fans in attendance will receive a free pair of pink Crocs, while the first 1,000 will be given a free pink and purple pom pom.
The Frogs (17-8; 9-3 MWC) enter the weekend on a four-game winning streak after recent road wins at BYU (75-55) and Air Force (67-57). The squad owns a half-game lead on third-place San Diego State, which hosts the Frogs on Feb. 28. TCU will aim for its first regular-season sweep of Wyoming since 2005-06 after posting an 81-78 victory last month in Laramie, Wyo. TCU holds a 7-6 edge in the all-time series against the Cowgirls, including a 4-4 mark since joining the MWC prior to the 2005-06 season.
Saturday's matchup will be carried live on the radio throughout the Metroplex on 88.7 KTCU-FM with Jeff Williams (play-by-play) and Jeff Lewis (color) calling the action. A link to a live stream of the radio broadcast can be found on GoFrogs.com, in addition to a live stats feed via Gametracker.
