FORT WORTH--TCU finishes off a two-game road stretch with the first of five straight contests against in-state teams Wednesday, when it travels to Dallas for a 7 p.m. matchup with SMU at the Mustangs' Moody Coliseum.
The Frogs, who are looking to break a four-game road losing streak dating back to last season, bring a 5-3 overall record into Wednesday following Sunday's loss at NC State. SMU, which has had a week layoff, is 6-1 after its Dec. 2 victory over North Texas. Following the contest against the Mustangs, TCU faces Texas A&M, Sam Houston State, Houston and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi to wrap up the non-conference season.
TCU's game against the Mustangs can be heard live on the radio throughout the Metroplex on 88.7 KTCU-FM with Jeff Williams (play-by-play) and Jeff Lewis (color) calling the action. Williams is in his 12th season as the voice of the Lady Frogs, while Lewis is in his second season as the analyst. -TCU is 2-0 this season against teams from the state of Texas, with wins over Houston Baptist and Texas Southern.

SCOUTING THE SMU MUSTANGS
SMU, 6-1, opened the season with five consecutive wins before dropping a 69-68 decision to Boston College at home over the Thanksgiving holiday. Included among the early wins was a 76-71 home victory over Arkansas.
Rhonda Rompola, in her 19th year as head coach, leads a squad that returned all five letterwinners from last season's team that won the Conference USA regular season championship and advanced to WNIT play.
The Mustangs have outscored opponents by a 12.5-points per game margin this season. Two players own double-figure scoring averages in center Christine Elliot (14.4 ppg) and guard Brittany Gilliam (14.0 ppg). Gilliam leads the team and ranks 19th in the NCAA in assists (6.1 apg), while guard Haley Day is the team's leading rebounder (6.9 rpg).
INSIDE THE SERIES
The series with former Southwest Conference and WAC rival SMU marks TCU's longest continuous series against any opponent, as the two teams have met each of the last 26 seasons dating back to the 1982-83 campaign. The Mustangs own a 38-13 edge in the all-time series, although the Frogs have taken six of the last nine meetings, including five straight between the 2002-03 and 2006-07 seasons. SMU has won each of the last two matchups, including last season's 79-75 decision in Fort Worth.
