FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU men's and women's swimming teams will compete in the 18th Annual Chesapeake Elite Pro Am in Oklahoma City, Okla., Dec. 19-20, on the campus of Oklahoma City Community College. The pool at OCCC is also the host sight of the Mountain West Conference Championships in February.
The Pro-Am serves as the second December meet to give the Frogs the opportunity to team up against some of the top amateur and professional swimmers in the country. TCU's men's relays teams exploded at the U.S. Short Course National Championships earlier this month, registering top-11 finishes in all five events. Senior Josh Bagby earned MWC Swimmer of the Week recognition for his duties on the relays.
Bagby, a Houston, Texas native, will get the chance to challenge former teammate Jonathan Berrettini this weekend in the 50- and 100-free, as well as the 100-back. Bagby broke Berrettini's school-record time in the 100-free last season, while Berrettini still holds the program's top clocking in the 100-back. The pair were teammates from 2006-08, helping to post TCU's best times in the 200- and 400-free relays, highlighted by a gold medal in the 400-free relay at the 2008 MWC Championships.
The Frogs enter the weekend with the top-seeded times in the men's 200-free relay and 400-medley relay, while senior Stephanie Futscher and sophomore Friedrich Grott hold the top seeds in the 200-fly.
The meet will follow the traditional schedule of morning prelims and evening finals with the morning sessions starting each day at 8:30 a.m. Evening finals begin at 5 p.m. Saturday and 4:30 p.m. Sunday. The meet will also consist of a 50-free shootout. The event lineup will go as follows:

50-Freestyle
200-Breaststroke
100-Backstroke
