FORT WORTH--The TCU women's basketball team continues preparations for its 2009-10 home season opener vs. Houston Baptist with a 5:30 p.m. exhibition contest Wednesday against Cameron University at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. Admission to the game is free to the public.
Immediately following the game will be the women's basketball program's tip-off dinner for those season ticket holders who signed up prior to the Nov. 6 entry deadline.
SCOUTING THE CAMERON AGGIES
Cameron University, a member of the NCAA Division II Lone Star Conference, is located in Lawton, Okla. The squad is led by second-year head coach Tom Webb, who led the Aggies to a 6-21 record and eighth-place finish in the Lone Star Conference in his first season on campus.
Three starters and four letterwinners return for Cameron in 2009-10, including two players who scored in double figures a year ago in guards Kristi Taylor and Tera Tremayne, who averaged 11.3 and 10.9 points per game, respectively. Post Amber Schroer, who also plays volleyball for Cameron, scored 9.1 ppg last season while leading the squad in rebounding with a 6.7-rebounds-per-game average.
