Callens and Crespo Receive MWC Weekly Honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - TCU's Edgar Crespo and Kyle Callens have been named Mountain West Conference Men's Swimmer and Diver of the Week, while San Diego State's Petra Radovic and Utah's Kwan Ling Yu earned women's swimming and diving honors, respectively.
Crespo, from Panama City, Panama, claimed four wins vs. UC San Diego last week, including a relay victory. The sophomore swept the breaststroke events, finishing the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 56.20 and the 200-breast in 2:05.83. Crespo, who captured his first medal of the season in the 200-yard individual medley (1:55.18), also aided the Frogs' 200-yard medley relay team that placed first in 1:32.61. The honor is the first in Crespo's career.
Callens, a native of Deer Park, Texas, captured wins in both springboard events in TCU's duel meet vs. UC San Diego. The junior collected a score of 323.05 in the 1-meter springboard, and posted a 305.80 mark on the 3-meter board. The league accolade is the second of the season for Callens and third of his career.
TCU will host Wyoming at the University Rec Center pool on Nov. 21.
