TCU Divers earn Mountain West Conference Honors

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU divers Kyle Callens and Jennifer Ferguson were honored as the Mountain West Conference Male and Female Divers of the Week, the league announced Monday. Both accolades are the first for TCU this season.
Callens, TCU's lone male diver, captured wins in both springboard events, as the Horned Frogs defeated the Air Force, 169-125. The junior captured first place in the three-meter springboard with a score of 321.05, and also finished first in the one-meter with a mark of 301.50.
Ferguson, a product of Beaconsfield, Quebec, has started the 2009-10 season undefeated in both springboard events. The senior earned back-to-back three-meter titles in the Oct. 22 and Oct. 23 meets at Colorado State and against Air Force and Northern Colorado, scoring 304.20 and 308.70, respectively. She also swept the one-meter springboard at both meets by scoring 273.60 versus the Rams and 285.44 against the Falcons and Bears.
