Rifle Team Remains Undefeated In Second Half of Season

EL PASO, Texas- The TCU rifle team continued their winning streak this afternoon as they defeated the UTEP Miners by a score of 4,618-4,563. The team has been undefeated since returning from the winter break. Freshman, Mattie Brogdon took home individual honors in air rifle with her score of 587.
Along with Brogdon's top score, the trio of Lauren Sullivan, Erin Lorenzen, and Simone Riford all turned in strong scores that led to the victory over the Miners. Lorenzen kept pace with a 582 followed closely by Riford's 581. Lauren Sullivan fired a 579.
Simone Riford led the Frogs in smallbore. She topped the team with a 579. Nipping at her heels was Lorenzen with a 575. Mattie Brogdon and Emily Paper also contributed to the smallbore score with 569 and 566, respectively. Combined, the Frogs scored 2329 in smallbore.
Next Saturday, the Purple and White return to Fort Worth to host the UTEP Miners. This match will be the last competition before the NCAA qualifier match.
