Opening Statement:
"Stephen F. Austin will win a lot more football games than they did last year. We got after them and forced a couple of turnovers. In the second half, we just tried to use the clock and put ourselves in position to get ready for next week. We have a big game against Stanford. We still have a lot of things to do, and we have to keep getting better. I was happy with the effort and that a lot of people got a chance to play. You have to give credit to Stephen F. Austin. They have a better football team than they had last year."
On how the game was managed:
"If you could write a script, that's how you would want things to work out. A lot of our younger players were able to get into the game late."
On how the defense played:
"I was very happy with how the young defensive ends played. They did a great job. We didn't blitz very much tonight. In fact, we haven't really blitzed much in the first two games. I can't promise that will last for the rest of the season."

"I thought some of our guys fought really hard. We got exactly what we expected from TCU. They're a really good team. I expect them to be in the top 25 at the end of the year. We knew it was going to be tough and an uphill battle. We have some things to work on offensively and defensively. I was proud of the way our guys fought. I think they went into the game with a good attitude, and they gave everything they had. TCU is just a heck of a ball team."
