FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU freshman forward Jordan Calhoun was selected to the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week on Wednesday.
With the selection, Calhoun, who yesterday was named Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Week, became only the second TCU player in the program's history to be named to Soccer Buzz's Elite Team of the Week.
The Oklahoma native netted three goals over the weekend, including a two-goal performance against Xavier. By doing so Calhoun became the first freshman in TCU program history to net back-to-back two-goal outings in the first two games of a career. Against SEC opponent Ole Miss, she recorded TCU's final goal of the game, sending the game into overtime, which ultimately resulted in a 2-2 tie.
The Horned Frogs will next be in action at Arizona State on Sept. 5. Start time is set for 7 p.m. CT.
