Lorenzen Collects Two Wins This Summer

Fort Worth, TEXAS- Erin Lorenzen and Lauren Sullivan have seen success at several shooting events this summer. Lorenzen posted her second consecutive win at the National Smallbore Rifle NRA 3-Position Championships held in Camp Perry, Ohio. She also collected three medals abroad in the Czech Republic.
Erin Lorenzen won the National Collegiate Position Championship at Camp Perry, Ohio. Lorenzen turned in a score of 2357 with 109 center hits. Lorenzen solidified the victory with a day one score of 1173 and 59 center hits and a 1184 and 50 center hits the second day. This year's competition marked the 101st year that the National Smallbore NRA Championships have been held at Camp Perry.
Lorenzen also traveled to the Czech Republic representing the USA in her first international competition. The event was hosted by the Czech Shooting Federation. Along with other shooters from US National Development Team, Lorenzen and the team came away with one gold and two bronze team medals. She posted a team best score of 393 in air rifle. Among a field of 70 female shooters, representing 16 countries, the USA Woman's team was the only team to win medals in each of the shooting events.
Finally, Lauren Sullivan and Erin Lorenzen tasted success at the US Shooting National Rifle Championships at Fort Benning, Ga. Lorenzen finished tenth overall in the 50 meter woman's position match with an aggregate score of 1236 including a final round score of 99. Her final round score of 99 was the second highest score in the 3x20 event. In the woman's prone event, Lorenzen turned in a score of 1160 placing her in the top 20. In the 10-meter women's air rifle event, Lorenzen's scores of 384 and 391 and Sullivan's scores of 385 and 388 placed them both in the top 25 for the event.
